GreenCLUB is the corporate blog of Green Engineering , an italian EPC company specialising in the realisation of industrial plants for ethanol production. We've created this place to talk about experiences around the world of ethanol production (spirits, extra neutral alcohol, bioethanol , fuel ethanol,)and in general about biofuels and renewable energies . But this space is something more... . Here we would like to share our work, our on site activities, during plants design, contruction and start-up . We would like to tell you about products of our Customers, about traditions and cultures behind spirits coming from different countries.. . Photos of Start-Up of the new ENA plant in Malawi

In July our process division went in Malawi to perform the Start-Up of a new plant by Green Engineering for the production of 60.000 litres per day of extra neutral alcohol from sugar cane molasses. The plant was designed and build for the Ethanol Company (ETHCO).
We've already talked about this plant and the site activities in wich we were involved during the electromechanical works, but we would like to show here some photos taken during the start-up.
The photo on the left shows the plant completed and operating.

This is our new Process Engineer Tommaso Bacci (Green Engineering), together with Dr. Frighton (ETHCO) , following start-up activities. All photos shown in this post are made by Tommaso.

During Start-Up the plant is monitored by our process specialists day and night. The following photos show the plant operating during the night under the supervision of our process specialists.

This is a view of the cooling unit of the plant. The cooling tower and the chiller unit are visible. The persons near the chiller unit are Mr. Luca Cervi (process coordinator in Green Engineering), Mr. Roberto Mori (Senior Instrument Engineer in Green Engineering) and Mr. Wright Kachepa (Plant Engineerin in ETHCO).

This is the control room of the distillery. Our plants are highly automated thanks to powerful and reliable control systems. Mr. Roberto Mori is the coordinator for the Control Systems Development in Green Engineering: in the photo he is working with an operator from ETHCO.

The following picture shows Ing. Luca Cervi (process coordinator in Green Engineering) during the training activities for the new plant.
Training courses are a standard activity for our process specialists for every new plant. They are based on our operative manuals and on our experience in the field of industrial distillation.

Barack Obama parla di Biofuels ed energie rinnovabili

Sto seguendo da poco le attivita' della Green Engineering nel campo dei biofuels. Ho pensato di riportare il discorso recente del candidato alla presidenza degli Stati Uniti per il Partito Democratico, Barack Obama , che ne fa un breve cenno :

"As President, I will tap our natural gas reserves, invest in clean coal technology, and find ways to safely harness nuclear power. I'll help our auto companies to re-tool, so that the fuel-efficient cars of the future are built right here in America. I'll make it easier for the American people to afford these new cars. And I'll invest 150 billion dollars over the next decade in affordable, renewable sources of energy – wind power and solar power and the next generation of biofuels; an investment that will lead to new industries and five million new jobs that pay well and can't ever be outsourced."

GreenCLUB è un'idea di Green Engineering

Green Engineering è una Società Italiana di Ingegneria specializzata nella progettazione e costruzione di impianti industriali per la produzione di etanolo. Il marchio Green Engineering nasce nel Settembre 1999 dalla volontà di tre Manager e del loro team di tecnici.
G.E. progetta e realizza impianti industriali sulla base di proprio know-how nel campo della produzione di alcool e del trattamento delle acque industriali.
Dispone di collaudate tecnologie in grado di processare qualsiasi tipo di materia prima che possa essere convertita in etanolo (vino, melasso, cereali, patate, frutta fresca e secca, etc…), producendo qualsiasi tipo di distillato (Rum, Cognac, Wisky, Vodka, etc…), alcool neutro ed extra-neutro, alcool anidro (bioetanolo) ed alcool industriale.
