The article explains very well the main production techniques that characterises the work at Foursquare , revealed by its "guru" , Mr. Richard Seale , and its staff .
In particular the article also describes some features often "forgotten" about the Rum Production . An example is the problem of the waste water treatment : the slops from a distillery can be, in fact, very pollutant for the environment. About this particular subject, the article underlines the environmental technologies used at the Foursquare Distillery in order to clean all the wastes and to transform the byproducts into products useful for the agricolture. In particular the article explains how the spent wash are evaporated in the Green Engineering evaporation unit, allowing to recover clean water and amendants for the crops . In this way most of the wastes at Foursquare are recycled into valuable products, helping to keep clean the beautiful environment of Barbados and helping the sustainability of the production .
The article also underlines how the quality of the product and the sutainability of the production are key-words for Mr. Richard Seale, and how for this reason Mr. Richard Seale and Green Engineering are continuously involved in a strong cooperation .
The author of this nice article is Ingvar Thomsen, a true Rum Enthusiast, joining the most important events of the Rum Industry all around the world . Ingvar, asked me some cooperation in the realisation of the article, and we have been very happy of sending him some of the pictures of the distillery .
Ingvar has also a website about Rum and Spirits that is really very nice , it's for sure a perfect reference for all the Danish people interested in Rum . You can visit it by clicking on the following image :
